My only comment and critique…

My only comment and critique of the MTO is regarding the illegal trailers that are being placed along major highways in Ontario. Obtaining a permit for a billboard can be a long process, but a process my company and i respect, and follow to the letter. We follow each bylaw set forth by the MTO and the municipality in question. We take pride in knowing that each of our boards are legal and that all procedures have been followed and met. With that being said, i have begun to question whether following the guideline is the way to go, since i have begun to notice so many illegal trailers being placed on properties along a number of highways. These illegal signs and trailers are going against the very rules you have set forth. If you do not enforce your bylaws, how do you expect others who have been going by the book to continue to do so. I ask that the MTO seriously take into consideration all the illegal trailers and signs that have been placed across Ontario and put forth a plan that will put a stop to and remove these illegal structures. It effects all those in the sign industry who follow your bylaws, and can and will be devastating to smaller companies if no action is taken.
