Your government’s continued failure to allow environmental assessments is going to be your own version of Walkerton as it was for the Mike Harris administration. You already exempted yourselves from an EA that deals with raw sewage at Ontario Place!!! How many more lessons will your government and party not learn?

We already know your 413 is his 407 debacle. As soon as you build this monstrosity that won’t ease congestion, you’ll privatize it just like they did.

It’s funny that the NDP have a more fiscally conservative approach than your cabinet, and more progressive. Your name seems ti be a farce. A symbol for greed and corruption. You destroyed other Conservative governmentms visions for the city and province. Bill Davis would be rolling in his grave.

You could just suggest the same responsible ideas of using the 407 for trucks and probably get more people on your side. Borrowing ideas and acknowledging good ideas won’t hurt you. It’s not like you don’t know that vehicles are causing congestion. You went out really fast to stop that convoy in Windsor blocking the bridge after leaving Ottawa on their own. I just don’t know how all of you can abandon all of us and put big business, and largely American business first, all the while giving yourselves raises and trying to scapegoat cyclists.

This highway is not the first concern we should be dealing with. Leaving so many waiting for surgery hoping to break the whole system to privatize it is insane. You all talk about trying to get people to work and make an honest living. Do you know how many men are waiting for hernia surgeries? You know that after a month, if someone is on disability, the return to work rate is 50% and it drops to around 20% after a year off?So why are you not using this money for healthcare to keep our population working and healthy? You are weakening everyone just like when you didn’t support small businesses during the pandemic, made homelessness explode by approving almost every building submission at affordable housing locations, and getting rid of rent control and doubling rental increase rates.

The fact you’ve hidden more egregious points in this bill to make it easier to take farmland is appalling. Food security is especially important within a Canadian context due to rising instability in the world, and south of the border, and climate. Having natural environments around human habitation make us all healthier and more relaxed and mentally well. The NHS came out of a war torn time and we’ve all as a people come through a major pandemic altering and harming all of us mentally. You’re abandoning so many and doing it by forcing this unnecessary highway down all of our throats, literally with the pollution and cancer we’ll all get. Meanwhile destroying what little green space is left in the province around the GTA.

Why can’t you do awesome things instead of the same old garbage that doesn’t elevate our societies? It’s a well known fact that congestion will catch up and this highway will be for not. It’s sad that this is your economic plan. Cover our entire province with suburbs and highways. And you wonder why kids are addicted to cellphones and the rest of our country calls us “Onterrible” and people are leaving our province in staggering numbers. I’m happy the most recent Nobel Prize winner called your government out. More people should.

Come to your senses and protect our farmland, conservation areas, ability to have constructive real debates and democracy, green spaces, and healthcare and education instead of blowing it all on a highway that will only save people two minutes and letting drunk drivers and other criminals out of the court system because you’re not properly funding it. Please!
