The proposal is a realistic and reasonable first start to controlling this species. The combination of a vastly improved habitat and environment over the last several years, as well as being a protected species has and will continue to produce an overabundant population.
Without a management plan this species will continue to overproduce and put more pressure on the food sources they depend upon.
We need to establish a balance with this species, both for the health of the species and the food sources they depend upon.
