It is essential, particularly given that this ( very welcome) new park is in an area prone to essentially unregulated development, to manage it in accordance with the highest standards of ecological integrity and biodiversity enhancement.

1 There should be no motorized access ( ATVS etc must be excluded).
2. Regeneration of native vegetation and fauna must be actively encouraged with the involvement of specialist bodies such as Ontario Nature and the Nature Conservancy.
3 A buffer zone should be established around the park in which unsightly development such as estate lot developments are prohibited in order to enhance the landscape sightlines from the park.
