I am commenting on a proposal for an interim combined sewer to support development at 955 lake Shore Blvd. (Ontario Place) I am opposed to the proposal which goes against decades of work by Toronto to separate and replace combined sewers across the city to prevent raw sewage discharge into Lake Ontario. It also disregards numerous national and international agreements to protect water quality and habitats of the Great Lakes! The effluents also raise significant issues with water quality at beaches, fishing and the quality of the lake as it pertains to an attraction for national and international visitors to the area. The lack of consultation with the general public is atrocious and undermines the public interests in an egregious manner!

This proposal to benefit private sector initiatives, is NOT in the public interest and threatens the stability and viability of the importance of the lakes ecosystem and increases the ever growing loss of the biodiversity of the lake. I strongly disagree with this proposal and respectively ask that this permit be denied.
