1) Black Creek and Lawrence is already a high traffic area.
2) We do not know WHY the developer is trying to bypass community consultation. What does the developer stand to gain by rushing? At the very least, there is an element of disrespect in the process, e.g., non or tardy payment of fees for consideration of a MZO.
3) Such huge towers in a previously undeveloped area pose all sorts of questions about infrastructure planning.
4) "Affordable" housing can also be inadequate housing if units are not varied enough to allow for large as well as small families, are well designed, engineered and constructed and include good management and security. Rushing the consultation process raises concern about what else will be rushed. We do not need ghetto towers so someone can say in the SHORT TERM they made some affordable housing.
Along with wider community consultation, potential housing applicants should be consulted about their paricular needs.
