This proposal is incredibly destructive to the natural species and habitats unique to Ontario, and must be abandoned. Ontario has more to gain in a future of true and effective conservation, built upon standards that already exist — not by scaling back the current ones in place. Our conservation efforts are, and will continue to be integral to tourism. I reject this proposal and the harmful effects it would have on our environment, native species, and our first nations' and their way of life.
This proposal is counterintuitive to a progressive way forward.
