Please do not gamble with our land and our future - slow down and get it done perfect the first time. Measure twice, cut once.
This type of legislation is just enabling the worst possible practices and businesses, inviting them to plunder our precious resources, poisons our ground water, and destroy our civil rights and indigenous communities... Doing this methodically could make Ontario a beautiful, hospitable economic powerhouse for decades. The damage this would allow on our ecosystem CANNOT BE UNDONE.
I am all for unlocking Ontario's potential resources, but it needs to be done with the thought, and respect our land deserves. This kind of legislation doesn't even guarantee a good outcome of resource yields, or well planned extractions - just a reckless charge into action before Feds step in and deem it unconstitutional.
It also undermines the Williams Treaties that the Ontario Gov already agreed to!
