The Ontario Government cannot be serious about this. The proposed landfill sits on the edge of Mollys Creek which feeds into the Sydenham River. This could easily become a environmental disaster. The products being suggested for recycling on the property are dangerous to human health. If this isn't bad enough the site is less than 800 meters to the town of Dresden and the local high school. Noise pollution from breaking up concrete, dust pollution from the same, water pollution from the run off into Molly's Creek and asbestos in the air will all be detrimental to the quality of life for the residents of Dresden. Heavy truck traffic having to move 20KM from the 401 to Dresden on roads already busy with school buses and farm equipment is not conducive to having safe travel.
I do not even believe that the Ontario Government knows where this property is situated in relation to where Dresden is.
How many laws and rules is the Ontario Government willing to break to help a donor to their political party?
