I do not believe the government should have the ability to remove animal from protected status. The government is not an environmentally focused organization. Giving the government the ability to remove animals from the list means the government could change the list for its own benefit. It ceases to be a protected animal when the government can just decide it doesn’t need to be protected anymore.
