The introduction of this bill will accomplish nothing but removing the protection for living things while developers skip steps and make money fractionally faster.
There is nothing wrong with the current Endangered Species Act and sustainable development can absolutely happen under it. Any "slow downs" it causes are because of the systematic tear down of power to enforce legislation related to preservation of natural spaces and the things that live there in addition to the chronic understaffing that creates administrative back log. This current government created this state is is shamefully undercutting Ontario's future, and present.
This is harmful, short sided and deeply disturbing.
Do not implement this bill or there will be long lasting negative consequences for people who live here.
