I am deeply concerned about the dismantling of Ontario’s Endangered Species Act. Gutting protections for our most vulnerable wildlife is a short-sighted and irresponsible decision that prioritizes development over biodiversity, ecological health, and future generations. As someone who works closely with injured and at-risk wildlife, I see firsthand how vital habitat protection and science-based conservation laws are. We need stronger protections—not weaker ones. I urge the government to reverse these changes and commit to preserving the natural heritage that makes Ontario unique.
