I am writing to deeply oppose the changes proposed by this motion. I STRONGLY agree that resources in the province should be explored and developed for the benefit of Ontario. HOWEVER this cannot come at the expense of proper consultations and environmental protections. Development should proceed in a way that is conscientious and considerate towards local residents and wildlife, and it is not worth scrapping existing protections for short-term gain. This legislation will only lead to future lawsuits by environmental groups and local communities impacted by these projects who were not properly consulted because the Ford government wants to rush these projects toward approval and completion. Please do NOT go forward with these changes!
