We are in a biodiversity crisis and these proposed changes would only exacerbate that. Why on earth should development proceed before the environmental impacts are fully known? By the time critical habitats or species at risk present are identified it could be too late to protect them. These “special economic zones” are nothing more than sacrifice zones and corporate giveaways of our priceless lands and waters for short term economic gain that does not benefit average Ontarians.
This is so incredibly dangerous and reckless. Do not further erode the Endangered Species Act.
