Allowing the government to remove protected species from the list makes the COSSARO pointless, because anything they do can just be overturned for political purposes.
Redefining a habitat to just be their dwelling is also very harmful. A habitat is much more than a dwelling. A fox den, for example, won't be able to support the foxes living in it if the forest around it goes and gets flattened to be replaced by a housing development. The habitat is everything around the home.
This is just more environmentally harmful legislation that continues to errode our natual environment.
