This proposal is, frankly, absurd. Does the Ford government really want to desecrate Ontario's natural beauties and unique species endemic to our province all for the possibility of increased profit?
Without the Endangered Species act many of our Provincial Parks would become unrecognizable, and we would certainly lose iconic Canadian species such as the Monarch butterfly and the American badger.
Not to mention the several dedicated teams of Ontarian scientists and researchers whose jobs would unquestionably be affected by this proposal. The Endangered Species Act allows research into areas such as zoology and aquatic biology that define Canadian science as a whole.
It's transparent; Doug Ford does not care about Ontario.
