Environmental protection should be top of mind. Skipping consultation with indigenous people, skipping proper assessment processes, and fast tracking approvals will only result in regrettable decisions that harm our natural areas and result in developments prone to flooding, landslides, and other natural disasters.
If anything, more environmental protections should be put in place rather than stripped away.
