The haste to make it easier to build and develop land will result in sloppiness and inaccurate evaluation of impacts on endangered species. I strongly object to the focus on "dens," nests, etc. without also including the surrounding habitats/environments and broader ecosystems. The proposed changes are meant to feed into Premier Ford's friends' pockets as they seek to promote building and development with less restriction and no regard to safeguarding the non-humans with whom we cohabit this land. I've gone through the rezoning, environmental study, and permitting process myself and believe that, though the current process and restrictions are indeed a headache, they are vital to keep our country thriving and healthy. Speed and non-regulation are not good things in this instance. Don't permit these interim changes. There is so much room to in-fill current communities with housing without having to rapid-invade endangered species' habitat. Focus on in-filling and leave the natural and wild spaces alone.
