This is a short-sighted attempt to put profit over Ontario's beautiful nature and precious animal species by a government and premier already under RCMP investigation for corrupt practices in ceding public land to private profiteers. Not to mention the false pretences that Treaty 9 was negotiated under, these changes will further trample over indigenous rights and continue the chauvinistic colonization that indigenous people have suffered under for centuries. As a constituent of Spadina Fort-York and lifelong resident of Ontario, I strongly oppose these changes and demand the government rescind this proposal.
