As an Ontarian, I know that animals need space. This proposal redefines the area that is classified as animal living space, and it makes no sense. Plants and animals need space to grow and thrive, they are essential to our country and by limiting the space they have, this proposal will severely harm Canada’s ecosystems and environment. Our environment needs to be properly protected, especially in a time where the devastating effects of climate change are becoming more apparent across the world. Ultimately, this proposal is irresponsible and shows the lack of care the provincial government has for environmental protection. All they care about is profit, as demonstrated by this proposed bill. It is a disgraceful rollback of the progress Ontario has made in protecting our environment. I sincerely hope this proposal is declined for the sake of Canada’s environment and its future. Thank you.
