To whom this may concern,

We were promised a full environmental assessment last year. For months we petitioned for one, sent countless comments and were granted one, only for it to be revoked months later under the disguise of Trumps tariffs on our waste management sector. Does the health of our community not count? The environmental impact on our community not matter? The wear and tear on our infrastructure not matter to the Ford government? The ramifications that this landfill will have on every resident that lives in Dresden will be substantial and irreversible. The government is VERY aware as to why we oppose this landfill but it has fallen on deaf years because the cash flow is more important than anything else, including our health and ecosystem. This landfill is too close to our community, to our schools, farmland etc., why the government is removing the full environmental assessment is unfathomable to me and to our community. Small towns do not matter to our government, our voices are being silenced by a government who is not for the people of Dresden. Shame on all of you who are ruining our future and the future of our children! WE DO NOT WANT THIS LANDFILL IN OUR COMMUNITY!! There are other areas in this province better suited for a landfill that is not within meters of a small town, is not home to endangered species, does not have waterways that have unique ecosystems that other areas of Canada do not have. We must protect it for the future generations!
