I strongly denounce this proposed legislation. This bill will reverse decades of conservation work, and would open up unhindered access to wide scale habitat destruction for functionally unregulated foreign and domestic mining and oil industry. It is critical to understand the driving cause for decline, and imminent extinction, in all of our species at risk is habitat destruction. Were this bill passed into law, we would see extinctions, and we would see them quickly. When it comes to our ecosystems, we do not have enough left to lose.
