This proposal threatens the welfare, prosperity, and security of our ecological future. This is a betrayal of the stewardship of land required for a long lasting civilization.
Our protected greenspaces are not a resource to be exploited, they were established for the good of all generations to come and to exploit them would be a betrayal of them all. So too, was the endangered species act introduced to ensure future generations could enjoy the richness of life around us. Don't play Jenga with our biosphere, don't sell the our children's future to pay for our luxuries today.
This is a disgrace to even consider and I strongly urge legislators to consider that you can't reinvent a species that's gone. They're gone for good and anything that depended on them may collapse too, until suddenly it's humanity that's scrambling to sustain itself with what's left of its natural environment.
Do the right thing, protect our biosphere and ensure the future endangered species list doesn't have us on it.
