So many meaningless words in this proposal to change the Endangered Species Act, which emphasizes that the Ontario Conservatives do not give a darn for the environment, or protecting endangered species.
Since I moved from Quebec, ten years ago, I have seen the devastation of woodlands and forests in Eastern Ontario. As a birder I have witness the decline of species during migration and through the year in part due to loss of habitat.
I would imaging there are hundreds of vacant buildings, in cities and suburbs that could be converted to affordable housing options. And what’s needed before housing, are the basic services and infrastructure to support the increased population, such as hospitals and health care professionals, and schools and educational staff.
It is a common sight to drive through the country, looking at landscape with piles and piles of fallen trees….very disturbing.
