This is absolutely idiotic. Environmental protection is a collective action to protect those who cannot protect themselves. Environmental assessments help ensure this is done, so in what way are we protecting the environment, something we all need to SURVIVE - if we are taking away the opportunity to show the importance of it. All for a money.. Money will get you nowhere when we don't have an environment to live in. Stop using the terrif excuse to get away with moral responsibility of taking care of our environment. Follow the proper process of doing an environmental assessment before taking land and turning it into a dump for instance. When we don't do an environmental assessment, how are we protecting our native species from extinction and preserving our environment for future generations? Taking away the process of protection shows your true intentions of not caring about the world we live in and the people in it. Complete disrespect.
