I object to the very narrow definition of 'habitat'. Creatures do not just inhabit a 'den' or 'nest'.
Like us they have their surrounding support system which provides what they need to survive.
It would be like saying that I am only safe in my house (and maybe my block) and everything outside that may be hard to access (such as grocery stores and doctors' offices).
Protecting our wild life and our wild ecosystems are essential if, as a species, we are to survive the changes happening on our planet.
Capitalism has to be constrained by these rules and regulations because those whose only goal in life is to amass as much money as possible are jeopardizing our very existence.
