I oppose the proposed changes to the Species Conservation Act. I don't care that the current act impedes and/or slows down the building of yet more McMansions on prime farm land, forested areas, and wetlands. Southern Ontario has already lost millions of acres of natural green spaces, all because Doug Ford has promised his 'developer' buddies cheap land to build overpriced houses. Bill 5 is going to destroy precious ecosystems that provide habitat for a myriad of plant and animal species. We should be stewards of this land, not destroyers. Please do not be hasty with changing this bill. Thank you.
