So another hit to this province's ability to protect its environment..... Just like the land tribunal..... What's the purpose of having any sort of laws when it takes one group of to just say nope go ahead, doesn't matter what anyone says, or what concerns are, just go ahead and develope and build your homes. We are in a housing crisis for one reason and one reason alone, eliminate that reason and the crisis goes away. The fact that ontario wants to just allow development "faster" and is looking to adjust the endangered species act, shows who the government supports more... The developers... Instead of the animals who do not have a voice and will just be bulldozed over. It's time we stop and look at the future of this province when every green space is converted to a concrete jungle, there will be no wildlife, there will be more animals being put on the endangered species list with this change in the act. This is the only protection that a species has, especially when that species doesnt have a voice to protect itself. Stop the development, fix the reason we have a housing crisis, and leave the act as it is to protect what very little is left of this province once great wildlife habitat.
