I do not agree with this…

I do not agree with this proposal and the changes within. This opens up the government to make decisions regarding species protection rather than these decisions being based on science. While it is important to build homes and grow the economy it needs to be done in the right way and we cannot create loopholes and make it easier to destroy species and habitats to do this. We cannot think of only short term gain when trying to fix issues we need to think of our and the Earth’s long term well being. I think we need strengthen policies in regard to development in particular. Many municipalities are working on green development standards. People want safe environmentally sound development. Strengthen policies to protect the environment and species. Bill 5: protecting Ontario by unleashing out economy, should not be passed!!! If it is, major amendments need to made and government needs to listen to scientists and researchers in regard to the detrimental impacts this Bill will have.
