The major changes to the ESA that are being made will have significant negative implications for species at risk. Removing prohibitions on what and where development can occur, eliminating permits as a requirement and changing processes will give the government power to remove species from the protected list at their descretion with no oversight. This will thus eliminate the government's LEGISLATIVE RESPONSIBILITY to create and support recovery plans which guide how we save these species at risk.
Stop the changes to the ESA - all the species that the ESA protects are essential to the entire ecosystem which we are all a part of.
