These proposed changes are wildly irresponsible.
The earth has surpassed 1.5⁰ warming, there is a mass coral bleaching event happening as I write this, North American bird populations are plummeting (which is terrifying as birds touch every party of the earth's ecosystems) and the Guardian just published an article stating that we've just breached the 7th (out of the 9) planetary boundary (these boundaries are what make life on earth possible).
These changes do not ensure the future of Ontarians because it ignores how intrinsically linked we are to nature. The only thing it ensures is the collapse of everything we've built.
The fact that I have to write this is dumbfounding.
Government is meant to protect and care for its citizens and this does the complete opposite of that.
Shameful.
