For decades we have watched as species after species has been forced out of their natural habitats by human development. Their habitat land has been shrinking and shrinking and more and more species are being displaced by it. We see thin, scraggly, looking foxes wandering close to neighborhoods because they cannot survive without the natural order of the food chain that the government bulldozes through and ploughs under. We do not need more high rise expensive condo buildings that most people can’t afford. We do not need more golf courses or shopping malls. What we do need is to live in harmony with nature, to preserve it at all costs, and protect all species. If you take just one thing out of the food chain, it can have disastrous effects on other populations of animals causing an imbalance in nature. This proposal is really about fast tracking greedy builders who don’t care about anything except their bottom line, shareholder profits, and pushing their agendas through. Stop the gaslighting, we are informed, intelligent constituents who intend to hold you accountable and to do the right thing. We need to preserve our wildlife habitats, live more harmoniously with nature, and search for alternative ways to improve our infrastructures without it costing us the lives of endangered species. I implore you not to pass this proposition and to be more responsible stewards of Mother Earth and all of her inhabitants.
