The Endangered Species Act was gold standard legislation, and gutting in and replacing it with this bill is Trumpian and regressive. I don’t want to live in an Ontario where politicians get to decide what species deserve protection, instead of scientists. How on earth does this bill not even consider a habitat to be more than a nest or den? Grade 2 science taught us that habitats obviously include the larger area that animals live in and find food. This is so shameful.
