I am a registered nurse living in Ontario in the Hamilton area. Supporting and protecting our beautiful country’s wildlife life is important to me as someone who spends their free time outdoors and appreciates the intricate ecosystems and biodiversity in the area. I strongly oppose the harmful changes to the Endangered species act.
There are more endangered species not less, and we need to continue to support their habitats or they will continue to progress to extinction. Developers should not be trusted to support or restore habitats as they are self-serving enterprises and are just looking to speed up developments to make more money. Also, weakening the law now will make it harder for future generations to restore habitats. I urge you to maintain a strong science-based interpretation of the necessary actions needed to protect endangered species.
