This entire proposal just reeks of urban sprawl and enriching developers close to the Ford government. The changing of definitions, allowing the government to change designations on a whim and the broad overreach under the guise of "redundancy" to reduce protections for animals whose habitat we have already destroyed. There is so much vacant land, unprotected areas, and low risk land that can be developed without further harming and stressing out wildlife broadly speaking, endangered or otherwise.
These changes are ill-advised and self-serving for developers and the developers who want to enrich themselves are the only group of people in the province that will benefit from these changes.
Make things efficient, don't destroy valuable green space to make a quick dollar. Do better for Ontarians.
