The Endangered Species Act is an important piece of legislation protecting Ontario's natural heritage through protecting vulnerable species and their habitat. This piece of legislation is crucial in assuring that development happens in a responsible and sustainable way. Proposed changes to this act are irresponsible and unethical in that the changes will permit irreversible damage to vulnerable species and habitat. This act should never be altered in a way that weakens its protections and certainly should not be removed. Please consider cancelling these proposed changes and protecting Ontarios future biodiversity. Keep the ESA as is.
