To whom it may concern,
As an Ontarian, this process doesn’t seem as promising as it’s written. Our wildlife are already losing their homes, experiencing displacement, and we as inhabitants of their land often see them trickling into urban centres as a result. We need to do better. That’s why I don’t support this bill change. We need to continue to do our due diligence and proper research which is how it is done now. It’s not perfect but it has a well established definition, plan, and recovery process outlined. Speeding up this process will only result in endangering our wildlife and risking their habitats and irreparable damage. We need to do better, ABC this bill is not it.
