I am against Bill 5 . Natural habitats need to be protected . Our environment sustains our life on earth. Ease of business and development does not take precedent over nature. We need to think long term.
I live in Dundas backing onto a conservation area that is protected but is still dying because of lack of diversity. When the trees die there will be nothing to replace it as the forest door is dying. We have more animals eating garbage since there is nothing for them to eat. The whole system is on the verge of collapse not to mention all the effects of climate change.
More rain less trees means landslides, higher air conditioning costs etc that will cost people but also governments.
We must protect the environment and delicate ecosystems. I oppose bill 5 .
