I would like to voice my opposition to the so called Bill 5.
We are in a global biodiversity crisis, with over 230 plants and animals at risk in Ontario. The healthy forests, waters and wetlands that species at risk rely on sustain all Ontarians. The proposed plan to scrap the Endangered Species Act and create regulation-free zones for industry threatens the natural world. To build a healthy and resilient Ontario, we need a strong Endangered Species Act that protects imperiled species and natural systems ensuring communities can benefit from the many ecosystem services that nature freely provides.
Ford keeps trying to bulldoze over Ontario and Canadian values just to give his developer friends more money. Ontario Place, Ontario Science Centre, and now this? This needs to stop.
