This is not a good idea. Building houses and infrastructure without taking the time to understand the environment it is being built on results in cataclysmic environmental events, failing infrastructure because it’s working against the environment and not with it. What sets Canada apart is our commitment to keeping green spaces alive and thriving and working with the environment, not paving over everything and hoping the high chance of environmental backlash doesn’t happen. Let’s not become the USA with completely abandoned ghost towns because we built a suburb in a known flood plain.
