As Canadians, we have and always should do all we can to protect our environment.
Yes, we need land to build housing, but we must put the environment and the animals who live in our green spaces as a top priority.
I have lived in Ontario almost all of my life, but have spent a few years living in BC. To see the utter destruction and devastation fires, drought and other ramifications of global warming to the west coast is absolutely heartbreaking.
Ontario has been spared more than the west coast so far, but this proposal to change the law will harm our beautiful province in ways no one will want.
Truly show people of Ontario and Canada that you are serious about the environment of this country.
We all see laws being broken or changed in the USA, including environmental and logging, this is not what the people want. You can never get the old growth and biodiversity back, and you will change the landscape for generations to come.
PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS!!!
