I am deeply concerned about…

I am deeply concerned about the proposed amendments to and ultimate repeal of the endangered species act. I believe this is an essential piece of legislation for the protection of our province as a whole. The current proposal does not follow current scientific research and advice and will therefore likely cause unnecessary harm to the province’s natural environment. Additionally, the proposed changes trample Indigenous rights which is unacceptable from a human rights perspective. I implore you to reconsider the proposed changes and instead strengthen species protections based on current scientific consensus.
