I am concerned that the redefining of ‘habitat’, combined with the reductions in protections to wetlands via changes in the wetlands evaluation system, will reduce the overall habitat for many species that should be protected.

I am concerned that there has not been enough consultation with scientists and with conservationists to ensure that these changes are indeed protective. If anything changes should be made to add protections to our natural resources to ensure the preservation of biodiversity and the benefits that our natural systems provide (e.g; storm water management)
