I am against the passing of this bill. A large part of Ontario’s beauty comes from its natural environment, and this bill seems to want to do away with it. Rather than wanting to streamline the process and reduce redundancy, it’d appear that the bill is trying to make it easier to damage local environments without much regard for the wildlife. Knowing the Ford government’s past nature-killing ambitions, this would seem like the most likely outcome.
As such, I, as an Ontario citizen, oppose the passing of this amendment to the bill and strongly implore the progressive conservative majority to consider the environment for once.
