As a citizen of Canada and Ontario I feel compelled to be one of many urging you to reconsider this.
We LIVE in our environment, protecting it is important to the future of our children, it's not just a "woke" talking point.

The lack of regulation proposed by this act isn't going to help anyone in the long run.
Clean energy is the future, everything else is just wasting your time and burning up goodwill. This catering to those who profit off dirtier energy, maybe it makes you some money now... but what about the long term? Where will this get us? When the land is poisoned, when the inevitable pollution scandal or health crisis happens, who will people turn to blame? Maybe you won't be in a position to get re-elected, maybe you just want to make bank and run, but even so... do you think no longer being in power when consequences come around voids your responsibility to the citizen body?

This act sets a bad precedent and is an obvious sign of the issues below the surface, of the profound lack of alignment and long-term thinking.
