This policy makes it too easy to obtain a permit and therefore is not protecting anything. There is a comment about protecting species habitats, UNLESS a permit is obtained. Which goes back to my first comment that the permits are obtained too easily. This is protecting nothing. We have so much beautiful wildlife in Ontario that needs to be better protected than this. We have people in careers that conduct research and tests to see if construction on that site would hinder any species habitat. This portion of the process should not be discarded to make obtaining a permit easier. There's no need for that. There's a reason it's difficult. We need to PROTECT our wildlife and nature. This bill will not pass.
