I wrote this exact note to my MPP
I am writing to express my very deep concern about Bill 5 and your governments continued efforts to dismantle Ontario’s safe guards.
Fast tracking MAJOR infrastructure projects without proper environmental and Indigenous consultation is IRRESPONSIBLE and DANGEROUS.
Environmental and worker protections are NOT red tape, they’re critical for our healthy, resilient economy and democracy.
I urge you to reverse course Bill 5, protect Ontario’s environment, protect our endangered species, protect regulations to develop, protect the soil we grow food on, protect the people, protect our children’s future, protect this land we were given to enjoy freedom on and not take for granted. I cherish the air we breathe, the clean water we drink, the very food we grow.
I don’t care about buying liquor at corner stores, that is NOT going to keep Ontarian’s healthy.
Spend the money where it is ACTUALLY needed.
We are nature and without it we will not exist. Can’t eat cement, can’t survive on contaminated water, can’t breathe polluted air. The very basic needs of life. Can’t pay our taxes if we are sick and cannot work- you won’t get paid.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STOP this bill!!
