I think species, especially endangered and protected species, deserve environmental protections for themselves and their habitats. Recovery strategies should also be in place, should any unforeseen accidents occur. I don't believe the government should choose what is classified as endangered. I think the current committee and future species at risk committees should continue to exist and be appointed by trusted and educated members of the environmental community, not the government. I think birds and aquatic life deserve protections. And I think the government should be held accountable for any issues that arise, now and in the future, especially considering this bill which is being put forward. I think it is shortsighted, I'll willed, and does not serve the people.
