In times of cascading natural disasters, and accelerating environmental destruction through industry, this is a horrible idea that will only result in increased mortality in the wild and the destruction of valuable habitats and natural lands.
The salvation of humaniny does not rest in a financial increase, but rather a renwal of humanities connection with the wilderness and nature.
Any policy that puts profit over lives, is a heinous implementation of greed, nothing more.
The policy of perpetual growth at the heart of Capitalism is a policy shared by virii, and we all know what happens to the host when that growth hits a certain stage. The host dies.
We are seeing signs of environmental collapse all around us, and still this policy holds - and efforts to expand it are selfish and greedy - the two premier factors for the state of the world today.
So let's not leave a worse world for our children by approving this, let's think of our children and their futures before profits, and heal this world.
