The Species Conservation Act should not be changed to make it “faster” to obtain permits - there is good reason it takes time to do due diligence when ensuring what consequences any proposed development will have on endangered wildlife. This bill 5 indicates it will be easier for corporations to obtain permission to destroy or harm wildlife and endangered species for their financial goals and gain. Ontarios wildlife is already suffering - please do not moved forward with these changes.
